History: In 2126, the Romulan Star Empire launched a new companion vessel to their U-4 "Screeching Bird",
The U-14 "Tomalok", after an ancient Romulan hero from roughly the sixteenth century A.D.
The U-14s were launched from 2126 to 2134, and pwere very heavily used, whether alone or in squadrons
or fleets, with all of the remaining vessels being destroyed at the hands of the UESN vessels in the
Earth-Romulan War of 2156-2160.

History: The Type A Warbird was, among other vessels such as the V-15 Imperator and V-17 Nightshade, intended to update the Romulan Star Navy with new ships equipped with technology based off of studied Klingon technology, being the first of a new Romulan Hull Classificatio known as "Warbird", a new bloated cruiser/battleship hybrid intended to be the very best of what the Star Navy had at it's disposal, roughly similar to the Federation's Heavy Explorers with a green, birdlike shape and a new, rectangular, similar in design to Klingon nacelle pattern, and with their huge size and state of the art tech, performed admirably on many missions, although requiring a change in warp drive due to insufficient power for the Disruptors and Cloaking Device early on. The Type A was reduced to a minor role in the early 2320s, when the kilometer-long Type B came online, and was fully retired in the 2380s.

History: The D'eredain was an attempt to combat the Taurhai with new firepower, quickly becoming one of the most heavily used Romulan combat vessels. While lagging compared to the Type B Warbird, otherwise known as the D'deridex Class, It is still used frequently in many mostly combat oriented missions, especially in the Dominion War.

History: The U-62 Heavy Cruiser was meant to be an extremely capable vessel, the very best the Star Empire had to offer. Equipped for long range exploration, cargo hauling, and heavy combat, the U-62s were also crewed with the most well trained personnel in the empire, who were able to fend for themselves dozens of light-years away from home. Although the vessels weren't equipped with Cloaks or transporters, the U-62s were armed with some of the first Plasma Torpedoes, which were capable of taking down D-4s and D-5s in one-on-one engagements, and their warp nacelle casings were later used for a wide variety of Romulan classes, among them the V-8. The U-62s were also the final vessels to use the old letter-code scheme, which had been around for over a century, and the remaining vessels were retired in 2279.

History: The Romulans once used the U-56 CLs to patrol the borders of romulan space, engage in combat with the Klingons and the Gorn, and occasionally explore a few distant star systems along the borders of the Star Empire. When the V range Heavy and Light Cruisers came online, the U-56s were used for increasingly minor missions, such as guarding mining worlds, until their retirement in 2269.
