History: In 2270, the Klingons launched a new Dreadnought Class to serve as a command ship,
in part, owned by various major houses, with one ship to a house, after more and more among
the high council balked at having mostly older, inadequate vessels for their personal arsenals,
such as the older D-4 and D-5 battlecruisers, eventually encouraging around three relatively
new projects to be devoted to that goal, among them, the L-14.
The Dreadnoughts were equipped with, in addition to the regular pair of KWE-3 warp nacelles,
was also equipped with an embedded KWD-1 nacelle in the Boom section, and unlike nearly all
other ships of the era with separable sections, the L-14's boom could later reconnect with the
(still active) stardrive section. The L-14s were among the first ships to benefit from the
new photon torpedo technology, with two forward and one aft, along with a wide-arced array
of disruptors.
The class was supplemented, and eventually replaced by the far superior L-15 Class by the 2290s.
The prototype was named in honor of the house that was responsible for the creation of the first fusions.

History:
The Klingon K-9 was an old scout ship, used heavily to chart new worlds near Federation
space, and capable of atmospheric entry and landing. It is very lightly armed, and has
weak shielding, making it a somewhat unpopular, barely combat capable vessel, and the K-9s
were very quickly replaced by the new K-22 "Bird of Prey" scout ship.

a pair of advanced disruptors, warp drive, and landing capability.
They are constantly used for defense of the core worlds, as well as
in large fleet actions.

it was unarmed and unshielded (to the displeasure of some warriors who felt
that the shuttle would make to tempting a target).

History:
The L-8 Heavy Frigate was designed for major fleet actions, transporting marines and
firing disruptors and drones on enemy vessels. They were equipped with the long-range
KD-13s and the high-speed KWF-1s, making them good for proximity assaults. Notable
battles include the Battle of Organia, and the battle of Vas Calab'ras in 2264.
In the mid-to-late 2270s, the L-8 recieved an upgrade, adding some of the new
KP-3 Photon Torpedoes, and KD-11 Disruptors, as well as upgrading to more powerful
warp engines and the ZD-6 computer, allowing the vessels to perform admirably until
their retirement in 2326.

History:
The K-18s were a mass-produced class of Light Escort, intended to serve in fleets
and convoys, as well as perform minor patrol missions. They were equipped with
maneuverable warp and impulse engines, and fitted with two wide-arc disruptors
and drone racks. As the years went by, the K-18s were refitted with better systems
and given hull reinforcement to make them more survivable in combat, although more
powerful ships such as the K-27 and K-34 were easily superior to the K-18s in
function, leading to the class's retirement in 2309.

History:
The D-64 Class was an expansion of the earlier D-12 and D-13 classes, establishing
design features that would appear on numerous later designs of the 24th Century.
The vessels were equipped with long-range disruptors, strong torpedoes, and high
speed warp engines, enabling the craft to perform numerous surprise strikes,
and unlike most other bird of prey classes, it has some small troop-carrying capabilities.

History:

The D-66 Class is another attempt to build a combination of the Bird of Prey and more
mainstream Klingon designs, such as the D-7 and D-10 Classes, using two very powerful
heavy disruptor cannons, as well as four lighter disruptor cannons and fore and aft
KP-4 Photon Torpedo Launchers. The vessel has a drone rack and troop-carrying capabilities,
and the D-66s have been used constantly from the 2330s to the Dominion War, with plans
to retire the class in the late 2390s.

History:
Built to maintain a large supply of guard ships on subjugated alien
worlds, the K-37 Diamond Knife looks somewhat like a Tholian ship,
which some of it's crews have loathed. The Monitors are fitted with
eight disruptors, four with very wide arcs, and all can fire forward.
300 were launched from 2282 to 2284.

History:
Built as simply a firepower platform and nothing more, the three L-30
class vessels were only used that way, not in the usual Battleship role
of Fleet Flagship. Lacking any disruptors, they bore a strange, and
problematical distinction, having to rely on power-sucking plasma, or
photon torpedoes that had ammo-limits. They were also extremely
expensive, quickly axing continued production of the class, instead
continuing to build L-24 and L-32 class battleships.

History:
The D-41 Class was designed as a new destroyer class to accompany the L-24 Battleship
and other new Klingon designs, equipped with short-range, high-power disruptors
and forward and aft KP-5 torpedo launchers. Although a fairly normal destroyer class
that was retired in the 2350s after 70 years of service, the D-41s were often liked by
their crews, and were sometimes even fitted with unofficial systems ripped off of
captured pirate vessels.
